Anti-corruption agencies in Chad and Senegal strengthen prevention efforts
In Chad, the Independent Anti-Corruption Authority (AILC) and the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) are establishing a strategic partnership to enhance governance and transparency. Led by Controller General Nédéou Teubdoyo Gérard, the initiative focuses on prevention, integrity education, and modernizing control mechanisms to address the impact of corruption on public administration and citizen trust.
In Senegal, the National Anti-Corruption Office (OFNAC) held a workshop in Mbacké to increase awareness of transparency laws and good governance. The session targeted administrative authorities, local officials, and civil society members to discuss reforms regarding asset declarations, whistleblower protections, and the right to access information. OFNAC is shifting its focus toward prevention and special investigations into illicit enrichment and incomplete asset declarations.
