Antigua and Barbuda College of Advanced Studies welcomes 1,200 students

The Antigua and Barbuda College of Advanced Studies (ABCAS) has enrolled more than 1,200 students for the 2026/2027 academic year. This marks the first unified intake following the merger of five separate tertiary institutions into a single college.

Students are distributed across five specialized campuses. These include the Eustace Hill Campus for Business, Innovation and Information Technology; the Muriel O’Mard Campus for Tourism and Hospitality; the Harrison Centre for Technical and Vocational Education; the Dr. Alister Francis Campus for Education, Arts, Science and Industry; and the Glanvilles Campus for Agriculture.

In addition to the general intake, ABCAS has launched a new Environmental Health programme in collaboration with the Ministry of Health, Wellness, Environment and Civil Service Affairs. This specialized public health training aims to strengthen local capacity for safeguarding community health. Education, Science and Technology Minister Daryll Matthew noted that the unified structure is designed to pool resources and reduce duplication to better meet the country's demand for skilled workers.
