Antigua and Barbuda Falcons defeat Barbados Tridents to top CPL standings

The Antigua and Barbuda Falcons defeated the Barbados Tridents by 30 runs at the Sir Vivian Richards Stadium to move to the top of the Caribbean Premier League standings.

After a difficult start that saw the Falcons fall to 63 for 4, captain Moeen Ali anchored the innings with an unbeaten 56. Ali formed a 75-run partnership with Shamar Springer and concluded the innings with a dramatic final over, hitting three consecutive sixes off Daniel Sams to bring the total to 155 for 5.

In response, the Tridents initially appeared to be in contention at 93 for 3, but a middle-order collapse saw them lose their final seven wickets for just 32 runs. The Tridents were eventually bowled out for 125, with Joshua James taking 3 for 18 for the Falcons. This victory marks the fourth win in seven matches for the Falcons.
