Antigua and Barbuda Falcons Hold Pre‑Season Camp Ahead of CPL 2026 Opener

The Antigua and Barbuda Falcons departed Antigua for St. Vincent and the Grenadines after completing a four‑day intensive training camp at the Liberta Sports Club grounds at Ball Beef. The camp was used to build team cohesion, assess preparations and connect with the local cricket community before the franchise travels to Kingstown for the opening match of the 2026 Republic Bank Caribbean Premier League.

The opening encounter will see the Falcons face the newly formed Jamaica Kingsmen on Friday, 7 August, at the Arnos Vale Stadium, marking the first time St. Vincent hosts a CPL match. Head Coach Paul Nixon said the camp “helps build the foundation of our culture” and allows coaches to gain insight into players as people, while Falcons Head of Operations Sabrina Webster called the camp “critical” for developing synergy. Notable squad members include Rahkeem Cornwall, Karima Gore, assistant coach Wilden Cornwall and bowling coach Sir Curtly Ambrose, who praised the facilities and expressed interest in future camps at Liberta.
