Antigua and Barbuda Falcons win CPL title

The Antigua and Barbuda Falcons have secured the Caribbean Premier League (CPL) title after an eight-wicket victory over the Jamaica Kingsmen in Bridgetown. During the match, Pakistani batter Maaz Sadaqat scored 114 runs from 58 balls, while Sufyan Moqim contributed 4-14. Amir Jangoo’s unbeaten 57 helped the Falcons complete the chase with 3.2 overs remaining.

Following the victory, Prime Minister Gaston Browne announced that Antigua and Barbuda has submitted a bid to host the 2027 CPL final. The bid aims to bring the tournament's deciding match to a home crowd, potentially allowing the Falcons to defend their title on local soil if they qualify for the final again. The CPL has not yet announced a host for the 2027 final.
