Antigua and Barbuda Tourism Authority launches artist series for Art Week

The Antigua and Barbuda Tourism Authority has launched a “Meet the Artists” video series to preview the upcoming Antigua and Barbuda Art Week, scheduled for November 11 to 18. The series aims to highlight the creative community by featuring more than ten professional, self-taught, and emerging artists, sharing their inspirations and creative processes.

Initial episodes introduce visual artists Heather Doram, Makŏ Williams, Mark Brown, and Dylan E. Phillips. During Art Week, Williams’ Makŏ Fine Art Gallery will host “Out of the Krokus Bag,” a program by the Rootz Krokus Collective focusing on Antiguan life and ancestral traditions. Doram and Phillips will participate in an interactive public art installation titled “Dual Thresholds,” while Mark Brown is organizing an exhibition for students of the Antigua and Barbuda College of Advanced Studies.

The week-long celebration, themed “Culture in Colour,” will include various activities such as Art Trails, bus tours, workshops, and the “Symphony of Colours” event at Redcliffe Quay.
