Antigua Barbuda Falcons reach CPL 2026 final

The Antigua Barbuda Falcons secured a place in the CPL 2026 final after defeating the Guyana Amazon Warriors by 9 wickets in the first qualifier at Kensington Oval. After winning the toss and electing to bowl, the Falcons' spinners dominated the match. Shadab Khan and Sufiyan Muqeem each took four wickets to restrict the Amazon Warriors to 76 runs in 15 overs.

In response, the Falcons chased down the target of 77 in just 5.2 overs. Rakheem Cornwall led the batting effort with a rapid 49 runs, including six sixes and three fours. Shadab Khan was named Player of the Match for his performance.

The Guyana Amazon Warriors, who finished at the top of the table during the league stage, face a second chance to reach the final. They must defeat the Jamaica Kingsmen in Qualifier 2 to advance to the final match scheduled for September 21.
