Antigua Ministry Cancels PiAngo Fest for 2026
The Ministry of Agriculture, Lands, Fisheries and the Blue Economy announced that the annual PiAngo Fest will not be held in 2026. The decision was attributed to competing priorities, limited resources, operational requirements and uncertainty surrounding the 2024 mango crop, which has been affected by weather conditions.
PiAngo Fest is one of Antigua and Barbuda’s flagship agricultural events, showcasing local farmers, agro‑processors, vendors, entertainers and families while promoting domestic products and supporting small businesses. The ministry said the cancellation aims to protect the festival’s long‑term sustainability and will allow officials to review and strengthen its framework, partnerships and direction before future editions. Further updates are promised at a later date.
