Antigua PM Browne offers $10,000 reward for Buckley Line robbery suspects

Prime Minister Gaston Browne has announced a $10,000 reward for information leading to the arrest of two gunmen involved in an armed robbery at the WIOC service station in Buckley Line on Friday afternoon.

At approximately 4 p.m., two masked suspects targeted the gas station on All Saints Road. One assailant, armed with a handgun, entered the station and stole an undisclosed amount of cash and lottery tickets. His accomplice, armed with a rifle, held a pump attendant at gunpoint and seized a pouch of cash from fuel sales. During their escape, the suspects reportedly fired a shot.

The pair fled the scene on foot before escaping in a dark purple Toyota Ractis. Investigators recovered a spent shell at the location. While surveillance footage captured the incident, no injuries were reported, though the event has heightened local concerns regarding illegal firearms and armed crime in Antigua and Barbuda.
