Antiguan artist Kimberly Pimentel creates artwork for CHOGM 2026

Antiguan artist Kimberly Pimentel has created an original painting inspired by the upcoming 2026 Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting (CHOGM) to showcase the culture and landscape of Antigua and Barbuda.

Pimentel, a self-taught 21-year-old artist, was challenged by the CHOGM 2026 Outreach Committee to produce a piece that captures the spirit of the nation hosting the international event. Her work, which incorporates elements of the country's identity and nature, was presented to the Cabinet of Antigua and Barbuda.

Prime Minister Gaston Browne and other Cabinet members expressed support for the initiative, noting that the project highlights the talent of young citizens and encourages them to participate in the historic occasion. The outreach effort aims to engage diverse communities and creative spaces as the nation prepares for the summit.
