Italy tourism and child welfare initiatives

Various regional developments and initiatives in Italy are catering to family tourism and child welfare. In the Po Delta, the Delta Open Air Resort is being developed on a 390,000 square meter site in Comacchio to provide year-round outdoor accommodation for approximately 5,000 guests.

In Bolgheri, the Antinori family is planning two 25-room hotels located among vineyards and near the Donoratico tower, focusing on slow tourism and rural landscapes. Other leisure options for families include the Ondasplash water park in the Ticino Park near Pavia and the panoramic swimming pool in Mornico Losana.

In Baia Domizia, local hotels report high occupancy and longer stays from families, particularly after August 10th. Additionally, the Sassuolo Hospital recently concluded a health promotion program titled ‘Supereroi della Salute’ at the Ca’ Marta summer center, which provided first aid training and healthy lifestyle education to over 200 children.
