Antioquia authorities demolish building used for drug activity in Cocorná

The Government of Antioquia, through the Secretariat of Security, Justice, and Peace, demolished a building in the Montañita district of Cocorná that was identified as a center for drug consumption and alleged sale. The structure, located approximately one kilometer from the urban center near sanitary landfill No. 2, was reportedly abandoned and in a state of advanced deterioration, featuring structural damage and accumulated waste.

This operation is part of the “Demolition of Insecurity Foci” strategy, marking the 85th property demolished in the department during the current four-year term. The intervention was carried out in coordination with the National Police and the local administration of Cocorná. Authorities noted that the site had caused significant concern regarding local security and community coexistence.
