El Campín stadium closure forces Liga Femenina final to Tunja

The 2026 Liga Femenina BetPlay final will feature a matchup between Independiente Santa Fe and Deportivo Cali. Due to scheduling conflicts at Bogotá’s El Campín stadium, the first leg of the final has been moved to Tunja.

Sencia, the stadium's concessionaire, stated that the venue is unavailable due to the installation of stage equipment for upcoming BTS concerts and necessary pitch maintenance. This decision has drawn criticism from clubs, players, and labor unions, who argue that women's football should not be sidelined for entertainment events. In response, the Bogotá District Institute of Recreation and Sport (IDRD) offered the Metropolitano de Techo stadium as an alternative venue.

Deportivo Cali enters the final after a dominant 6-1 aggregate victory over Atlético Nacional, while Santa Fe secured their spot by defeating Millonarios 4-3 on aggregate. This marks the third consecutive year these two clubs have met in the league final.
