Antirrio festival brawl involves flying furniture and violence

A violent brawl broke out during a festival in Antirrio, Aetolia-Acarnania, involving two large groups of youths. The confrontation reportedly began as a verbal argument between a group from Patra and a local Roma group.

The situation quickly escalated into physical violence, with participants exchanging punches and kicks. Witnesses reported that plastic chairs, tables, and glasses were thrown through the air, creating a chaotic scene that caused panic among attendees.

In a surreal turn of events, the musical orchestra on stage continued to play traditional music and clarinet songs throughout the disturbance. The incident occurred as the festival was nearing its conclusion, which helped prevent more significant injuries to the general crowd.
