Antisemitism rises amid Gaza conflict and US hate crimes

The conflict in Gaza has coincided with a significant rise in antisemitism. According to the Anti-Defamation League, attacks on Jewish people involving deadly weapons increased by 39% in 2025 compared to the previous year.

In the United States, Jewish people—who comprise approximately 2% of the population—accounted for nearly two-thirds of all religion-based hate crimes in 2025. Reports indicate high levels of antisemitic activity in states such as New York, New Jersey, and California, as well as instances of harassment against Jewish students on college campuses.
