Antón baseball team enters sixth consecutive Coclé youth final

The Antón baseball team is set to compete in its sixth consecutive final of the Coclé Provincial Youth Baseball Championship. Having previously secured three titles and two runner-up finishes, the team seeks to maintain its dominance in the region.

The championship series against Aguadulce is scheduled to begin this Saturday at the José Antonio Remón Cantera stadium in Aguadulce. The Antón roster features several players who previously participated in the World Cup in Taylor, Michigan.

Technical staff member Francisco González highlighted the team's strengths as teamwork, timely hitting, and strong pitching. He also noted the importance of Eliécer Mendoza, a player signed by the Florida Marlins. For the opening game, the team is considering 15-year-old pitcher Carlos Navas, who held a 3-0 record during the regular season, as a potential starter.
