António Manuel Ribeiro to host ‘Língua Mãe’ as Lula Queiroga performs on TV Brasil
Musician António Manuel Ribeiro, known for his work with the band UHF, will debut as the television presenter for the eighth season of ‘Língua Mãe’. The program, a partnership between the Sociedade Portuguesa de Autores (SPA) and CMTV, is scheduled to begin airing on September 6, on Sunday mornings. The season aims to promote Portuguese culture and provide visibility to national creators. The first interview of the new series will feature Fernando Ribeiro, leader of the heavy metal band Moonspell.
In Brazil, TV Brasil will broadcast a special edition of ‘Cena Musical’ featuring singer, composer, and poet Lula Queiroga. Recorded at the BNDES Cultural Space in Rio de Janeiro, the performance ‘Capibaribum’ is based on the artist's latest album. The show explores musical connections to the Capibaribe River in Recife, blending traditional rhythms such as forró, xote, maracatu, and frevo with contemporary electronic arrangements.
