Antofagasta approves $250 million for 2027 New Year celebrations

The Antofagasta Municipal Council has unanimously approved a $250 million budget to fund New Year 2027 celebrations. The festivities, presented by Mayor Sacha Razmilic, will feature live music and a pyrotechnic show at the Balneario Municipal.

A key highlight of the event will be the return of the traditional firework waterfall at the municipal seaside resort, a landmark celebration that has been absent for several years. The initiative, managed by the Directorate of Community Development (Dideco), aims to recover local traditions and provide entertainment spaces for families.
