Chilean musical institutions celebrate anniversaries and regional concerts

Various musical performances and anniversaries are being celebrated across Chile. The Teatro Regional del Maule (TRM) is marking 21 years of cultural management with a commemorative concert featuring the Orquesta Clásica del Maule and Argentine conductor Carlos Vieu. The repertoire includes works by Mozart, Liádov, and Tchaikovsky.

In Iquique, the Orquesta Sinfónica de Antofagasta performed a sold-out gala titled ‘Del Desierto a la Tradición Rusa’ at the Teatro Municipal. The program featured premieres by Jorge Godoy and Camila Leal, alongside classics by Shostakovich and Tchaikovsky.

Additionally, the Orquesta Pública Estudiantil de Valparaíso (Opeval) held its Winter Concert at the Teatro Municipal, performing a mix of classical pieces by Strauss and Mozart, as well as a self-arranged version of the ‘Obertura Lorelei’.
