Antoñito Cordero to spend another season on loan at Cádiz

Spanish forward Antoñito Cordero, 19, will remain on loan at Cádiz for the 2025‑26 campaign. The player, owned by Newcastle United, first joined Cádiz in January and made 21 league appearances, 16 as a starter, scoring three late‑season goals that helped the club avoid relegation from LaLiga Hypermotion. The loan agreement has been renewed for a second consecutive year, extending his stay until the end of the season. Cordero began his senior career at Málaga, spent time in the youth setups of Sevilla and Real Betis, and had a brief spell on loan at Belgian side Westerlo before returning to Spain.

His contract with Newcastle runs until June 2030, but the English club has opted to keep him developing in Spain’s second division for another year.
