Antoliano Peralta Romero's book tops sales at Santo Domingo Book Fair

Antoliano Peralta Romero’s book, ‘Después de Trujillo: Un lustro convulso, 1961-1966’, has become one of the best-selling titles at the 2026 Santo Domingo International Book Fair.

During a discussion at the National Theater, Vice Minister of Culture Luis R. Santos noted the high level of reader interest in the work. The book examines the volatile political and social period in the Dominican Republic following the fall of the Rafael Leónidas Trujillo dictatorship. Key topics covered in the analysis include the government of Juan Bosch, the 1963 coup d'état, the Triunvirato, the April 1965 Revolution, and the subsequent United States military intervention.
