Antolin Gonzalez awaits trial for killing father

Spanish racing driver Antolin Gonzalez is currently in prison awaiting trial for the killing of his father, a 56-year-old business leader. Gonzalez, once considered a rising star in motorsports who was compared to Fernando Alonso, broke his silence to recount the incident.

The confrontation occurred at the family business warehouse, Aceitunas Antolin, in Aranda de Duero. Gonzalez stated that he attempted to mediate a dispute regarding his parents' divorce, but the interaction turned violent. He confessed to stabbing his father in the neck and chest, claiming he acted in response to his father's aggressive behavior. His legal counsel has suggested the incident involved a machete during the altercation.

Gonzalez's racing career was marked by early achievements, including setting go-kart records at age eight and becoming the youngest driver to race a Formula 3 car at age 13. He is now facing significant legal consequences for the homicide.
