Anton Gavel appointed head coach of FC Bayern Munich basketball

Anton Gavel has officially begun his tenure as the new head coach of FC Bayern Munich's basketball team. The 41-year-old Slovakian coach, who previously played for the club, has signed a three-year contract to lead the team following a season where they finished 13th in the Bundesliga.

Gavel's move to Munich follows a controversial departure from the Bamberg Baskets.
