Antonella Mosetti apologizes for controversial social media video

Italian showgirl Antonella Mosetti has issued an apology following a social media controversy involving a video she posted to Instagram. In the clip, Mosetti is seen dancing to Mariah Carey’s ‘Honey’ while a television in the background was broadcasting an interview with the parents of Chiara Poggi on the program Verissimo.

The video drew intense criticism from social media users, who accused the influencer of insensitivity or attempting to gain attention by using the tragic subject matter as a backdrop. Some commenters suggested the act was a calculated move to increase engagement, while others expressed shock at the perceived lack of respect.

Mosetti addressed the backlash by explaining that she had recorded the video with the television volume set very low and had not reviewed the footage before posting it. She stated that she only realized what was being broadcast on the screen after the video had already sparked widespread criticism.
