Antoni Gaudí legacy celebrated through cultural events in Spain

Various cultural events are taking place to honor the legacy of architect Antoni Gaudí. In Barcelona, the ‘Gegants de La Pedrera’—a group of six figures including King Gaudí and Queen Pedrera—have debuted a restored image. The figures, which feature designs inspired by the textures and colors of Casa Milà, were presented during a public celebration involving music, dance, and theatrical performances at the site.

Additionally, the ‘Les arrels de Gaudí’ project, organized by Diari de Tarragona, will hold its second act on September 16. Titled ‘Gaudí avui: ciència, arquitectura i llegat cívic’, the event aims to explore the architect's ongoing relevance, specifically his relationship with science, experimentation, and his civic legacy. This follows an initial meeting held in June at the Gaudí Centre in Reus.
