Antoni Udenga discusses challenges of J1 League competition

Antoni Udenga, a 17-year-old center-back for Kashima Antlers Youth, recently reflected on the challenges of transitioning to professional football. Despite making his J1 League debut and appearing on the bench for the top team, Udenga has faced difficulties securing consistent playing time due to intense competition in key positions.

Following a 0-4 loss against Ryutsu Keizai University Kashiwa, Udenga took personal responsibility for the defensive performance. He expressed a determination to overcome the hurdles of maintaining match fitness while training with the senior squad, stating his ultimate goal remains to become a regular starter for the top team.
