Antonino Restuccia promoted to Carabinieri Brigadier General, to retire in August

Colonel Antonino Restuccia has been promoted to Brigadier General of the Carabinieri. After six years leading the Enna Operational Unit, he will move to the reserve around mid‑August.

Restuccia’s career in Sicily includes senior posts as head of the Caltanissetta provincial command, commander of the Nicosia Company and the Enna Operational Nucleus, and coordination of district anti‑mafia investigations such as “Ferro Battuto,” “Battesimo,” “Battesimo Due” and “Gran Secco.” He also took part in major drug investigations and the 2007 arrest related to the Antonino Allegra murder. He holds the Officer rank of the Order of Merit of the Italian Republic and the Maurizian Medal.
