Antonio Banderas celebrates 66th birthday at Marbella gala

Spanish actor Antonio Banderas celebrated his 66th birthday at the 17th annual Starlite Occident Gala in Marbella. The event featured a “Peace & Love” hippy theme and included a musical tribute from Plácido Domingo, who sang “Happy Birthday” at midnight. During the gala's charity auction, Banderas donated a shirt he had personally customized, contributing to funds for various social and educational projects.

Reflecting on his life and career, Banderas discussed how a 2017 heart attack prompted him to reevaluate his priorities, leading him to move back to his native Málaga and focus more on theater and personal experiences rather than Hollywood fame. He also touched upon his family, noting the recent marriage of his daughter, Stella Banderas, to Alex Gruszynski, and expressed a personal desire to become a grandfather.
