Antonio Battistini appointed commissioner of ASP Vibo Valentia

Antonio Battistini has officially assumed his role as the extraordinary commissioner for the ASP of Vibo Valentia, Calabria, for a two-year term. His appointment, decreed by the President of the Calabria Region, follows the dissolution of the previous administration due to mafia infiltration. Upon taking office, Battistini appointed Tiziana Ciuci as the administrative director, citing her extensive experience within the Calabrian healthcare system.

During a conference organized by the National Association of Hemodialysis (Aned) in Nicotera, Battistini addressed the critical needs of nephrology patients. He pledged to provide resources and improved pathways for those requiring dialysis and transplants. Key priorities discussed include increasing staff by hiring more nephrologists and nurses to manage rising patient numbers, upgrading medical equipment, and ensuring a seamless, continuous care network for transplant candidates.
