Antonio Bernardo Sirgo, former Duro Felguera CEO, dies at 91

Antonio Bernardo Sirgo, the former general manager and CEO of Duro Felguera, has passed away at the age of 91 in Langreo.

Sirgo began his career as an engineer and rose through the ranks of Duro Felguera, serving as the head of Human Resources before reaching executive leadership. He was widely recognized for his commitment to the La Felguera district and the local workforce. In 2001, he was named an honorary citizen of Langreo.

His funeral was held at the San Pedro de La Felguera parish church, attended by family, friends, and former colleagues. He is survived by his wife, the painter Carmen Cobertera, five children, and seven grandchildren.
