Antonio Conte linked to Manchester United amid Carrick pressure

Manchester United management has reportedly initiated contact with Antonio Conte following a poor start to the season under manager Michael Carrick. The club's leadership is facing increasing pressure due to underwhelming results, including several draws and home defeats that have left the team in 12th place in the Premier League and eliminated from the EFL Cup.

Reports suggest the club is considering a high-salary, long-term contract to attract the Italian manager, who is currently without a club after leaving Napoli. Conte is viewed as a primary candidate due to his extensive Premier League experience, including a title with Chelsea, and his ability to implement discipline and results-oriented tactics.

While no official agreement has been reached, the club's decision regarding Carrick's future may depend on upcoming matches. The pressure is expected to intensify during upcoming fixtures against Tottenham and Atlético Madrid.
