Las Ventas bullfighting season concludes with major triumphs in Madrid

The bullfighting season in Madrid concluded with significant events at Las Ventas during the Feria de Otoño. On October 11, Antonio Ferrera and Román achieved a double ‘Puerta Grande,’ both earning two ears each during a challenging encounter with bulls from Adolfo Martín. This marked their second time exiting on shoulders this season.

The following day, October 12, the Corrida de la Hispanidad featured the highly anticipated return of Morante de la Puebla to the ring, one year after his temporary retirement. While the bulls from Garcigrande and Núñez del Cuvillo were described as difficult or lacking vigor, Morante delivered a notable performance with his left hand. Aarón Palacio also performed well in his confirmation, showing technical skill and composure.

In contrast, the performance of Mexican matador Héctor Gutiérrez received mixed reviews from the press, with some noting his technical ability but others observing a lack of connection with the Madrid audience.
