Antonio Jesús Aguilar Conejo targets gold in 100km ultramarathon

Spanish ultramarathon runner Antonio Jesús Aguilar Conejo, the current world runner-up in the 100-kilometer category, is preparing to compete in Bertamiráns. After securing silver in India in 2024, Conejo aims to secure a gold medal in the upcoming race, noting that the competition will be intense with strong athletes from Japan, France, the United States, and Great Britain.

Conejo, who transitioned from triathlon to ultra-distance running, expressed that receiving a call-up to the Spanish national team at his current age is a significant achievement. He stated that while a bronze medal is a realistic goal if conditions are good, a great day could lead to a gold medal.
