Antonio Najarro tours Japan while Iñaki Urlezaga returns to the stage

Choreographer Antonio Najarro is set to tour Japan starting August 22 with his new creation, ‘Bolero’, inspired by Maurice Ravel’s iconic musical work. The tour will include performances in Kawaguchi, Nagoya, and Tokyo. Najarro, a former director of the Spanish National Ballet, noted that the demand for this specific piece comes from the Japanese audience's deep appreciation for Ravel’s ‘Bolero’. His goal is to present a unique version that reflects his personal artistic signature while meeting the high technical standards of the Japanese public.

In Argentina, dancer Iñaki Urlezaga is returning to the stage after an eight-year retirement. He will perform ‘El aplauso final’ on September 13 at the Ginastera Hall of the Teatro Argentino in La Plata. The production, set to the music of Sergei Rachmaninov, is described as a disruptive and innovative ballet exploring the connection between a ballerina and her mentor during her final performance. Urlezaga, who previously danced with the Royal Ballet and Dutch National Ballet, expressed a deep emotional connection to returning to his hometown for this production.
