Antonio Resines calls for PP-PSOE cooperation ahead of Spanish elections
Actor Antonio Resines has expressed concerns regarding the high level of social tension and political confrontation in Spain. Speaking about the upcoming elections on November 29, Resines noted that the country is experiencing a lack of consensus and a sense of social conflict.
Resines proposed that the two major political forces, the People's Party (PP) and the Spanish Socialist Workers' Party (PSOE), should seek a way to govern together or reach agreements to resolve national issues. He emphasized that since these two parties represent approximately 70% of the vote, cooperation could alleviate significant societal problems.
Regarding his own participation, Resines stated he would not vote for the PSOE and noted he likely would not vote at all as he will be out of the country during the election period. He maintained that whichever party wins must be respected as the legitimate government chosen by the voters.
