Mirko Saraceni, 46, killed in road collision near Alfonsine, Italy
Mirko “Micht” Saraceni, a 46‑year‑old resident of Bizzuno in the province of Ravenna, died after his car collided with a vehicle driven by a 24‑year‑old woman at the outskirts of Alfonsine. The accident occurred a week before his funeral.
His funeral was held at the Santa Maria Assunta church in Bizzuno and drew hundreds of mourners from the surrounding province. A procession travelled from Alfonsine to Bizzuno, and his colleagues carried his casket to the cemetery, where his tractor – the machine he had used for years as a tractor operator – was displayed. Friends and family remembered him as a hard‑working, altruistic person with a contagious smile, celebrated for his dedication to local farming and his community involvement.
