Antonio Steinhaus, creator of Cagliari's Poetto amusement park, dies at 81

Antonio Steinhaus, a key figure in the history of the Poetto seaside in Cagliari, has passed away at the age of 81. He and his late wife, Anna Maria Cuccu, were instrumental in establishing and growing the historic amusement park at the Poetto coastline.

The Steinhaus family became a landmark for generations of local residents through their carnival attractions, most notably the ‘Brucomela’ roller coaster, which became a local symbol after arriving in 1987. Steinhaus was recognized for transforming the traditional traveling show business into a stable and recognizable part of the city's coastal landscape.
