Antonio Stipinović to open photography exhibition in Split

The Fotoklub Split Photo Gallery will host the opening of the exhibition ‘O čemu šutiš?’ (What are you silent about?) by Split-based photographer Antonio Stipinović. The exhibition is scheduled to open on Thursday, September 3, at 8:00 PM.

Stipinović, a long-time member of Fotoklub Split, utilizes a conceptual approach to photography, often exploring the boundaries of perception and emotion through intimate portraits, the body, and movement. His work frequently involves collaborations with dancers and integrates graphic design elements such as typography and form.

The exhibition features a cycle of ten portraits that examine the relationship between the body, touch, and suppressed emotions. Through the use of close-up shots, unconventional framing, and the interplay of light and movement, the artist seeks to transform the portrait from a stable image into a depiction of an internal state, capturing themes of vulnerability, pain, and pleasure.
