Antonio Teti’s new book, ‘Spionaggio 6.0’, explores the integration of artificial intelligence into intelligence services and its impact on global power dynamics. The work examines how AI is shifting the intelligence paradigm from the challenge of finding information to the challenge of filtering an overwhelming volume of data.

Teti highlights that AI can ‘automatically select what has operational or strategic relevance,’ though he notes the critical importance of the human criteria used to distinguish signal from noise. The book utilizes five case studies to illustrate these concepts, including online radicalization, state-sponsored hacking attempts against defense ministries, predictive modeling for monitoring demonstrations, early warning systems in the Sahel, and disinformation campaigns targeting European economic policies.
