Antonio Vergara faces limited playing time under Allegri

Questions have arisen regarding Massimiliano Allegri’s management of Antonio Vergara during the current season. Despite the club’s significant investment in the player and his recent involvement with the national team, Vergara has seen limited playing time, totaling only 162 minutes out of a possible 540.

Allegri has defended his tactical approach, citing a preference for experienced players in high-pressure situations to avoid overtaxing young talents. The coach has emphasized that veteran players must take responsibility to allow younger players to develop without excessive pressure, particularly in a high-stakes environment like Napoli.
