Antonis Remos pursues legal action against influencer for defamation

Greek singer Antonis Remos is pursuing legal action against a well-known TikTok influencer following a video containing what his legal team describes as “vile lies.” The dispute arose after the influencer made claims regarding a purported hospital admission involving the singer in 1999, suggesting he was in a severe state at the time.

During an appearance on ANT1’s ‘Proino,’ Remos’s lawyer, Michalis Dimitrakopoulos, stated that the singer and his family have been deeply disturbed by the allegations. Dimitrakopoulos clarified that while public figures must tolerate criticism, there is a “red line” against spreading defamatory falsehoods.

The legal strategy will begin with a formal notice (exodiko) demanding that the influencer retract her statements and issue a public apology. The lawyer noted that if an apology is issued, Remos does not intend to proceed with a full lawsuit; otherwise, the matter will be handled by the judicial system.
