Antonis Remos to celebrate 30-year career with major Thessaloniki concert
Greek singer Antonis Remos is preparing a major anniversary concert in Thessaloniki on Saturday, September 12, to celebrate 30 years of his musical career. The event will take place at the Nea Paralia, specifically near the Alexander the Great Statue.
The production is expected to be a large-scale spectacle featuring 1,200 drones, fireworks, ten giant screens, and thirty cameras distributed across the city. Approximately 1,000 staff members and 1,000 musicians and performers are involved in the preparations. The concert will be hosted by Grigoris Arnaoutoglou.
During a press conference, Remos addressed local controversy regarding the placement of the large stage near the Alexander the Great Statue. He expressed his desire to avoid division and emphasized his pride in being Macedonian. He also noted that his relationship with Thessaloniki Mayor Stelios Angeloudis remains positive, viewing the event as an opportunity to demonstrate the city's capacity to host world-class events.
The concert will feature numerous guest stars, including Despina Vandi, Gipsy Kings, and Kaïti Garbi. Notably, football legend Ronaldinho is expected to make an appearance on stage.
