Antorcha Guadalupana arrives in Soto la Marina

The Antorcha Guadalupana race is scheduled to arrive in Soto la Marina on Saturday, October 10. The event features images of the Virgin of Guadalupe and San Juan Diego as part of a larger pilgrimage that began on August 29 at the Basilica in Mexico City.

The journey is intended to support migrants and is set to conclude at St. Patrick's Cathedral in New York City on December 12. In Soto la Marina, the torch and sacred images will be received at Plaza Mi Pueblito at 6:00 p.m., followed by a mass and a procession through the town lasting until 6:00 a.m. Sunday.

Coordinator Jaime Guadalupe Castillo Ypiña noted that the race has been held for 24 years. Following the activities in Soto la Marina, the procession will continue toward Tampiquito, the Chapel of Our Lady of Refuge of Sinners, and Ejido Gutiérrez de Lara before heading to San Fernando.
