ANTT suspends seven Expresso Gardênia bus lines between MG and SP

The National Land Transport Agency (ANTT) has issued a precautionary suspension of seven interstate passenger transport authorizations for the company Expresso Gardênia. The measure affects routes between Minas Gerais and São Paulo, including connections from Belo Horizonte, Cássia, Itajubá, and Ouro Fino to destinations such as Campinas, Ribeirão Preto, Pindamonhangaba, and São Paulo.

The decision follows technical analyses and inspections that identified potential compromises in service provision. To lift the suspension, Expresso Gardênia must provide documentation proving the regularization of vehicle safety, maintenance, and conservation, including technical reports from specialized workshops. The suspension remains in effect until a final administrative decision is reached or the company meets all safety and comfort requirements.

Regarding passenger rights, ANTT has mandated that the company ensure either a refund of ticket costs or the option to purchase tickets with another authorized carrier, with the costs covered by Expresso Gardênia.
