ANTT updates Brazil's minimum road freight floor
The National Land Transport Agency (ANTT) has updated the coefficients used to calculate the minimum floor for road freight in Brazil. This update, established by Ordinance SUROC No. 22, takes effect following a revision of diesel prices.
The new calculation is based on a national average reference price of R$ 7.33 per liter for S10 diesel, a figure recorded by the National Agency of Petroleum, Natural Gas and Biofuels (ANP) between September 20 and 26, 2026. This represents a significant increase compared to earlier periods in the year.
The minimum freight values vary depending on several factors, including the type of cargo (general, bulk, neo-bulk, refrigerated, or dangerous), the number of axles, the distance traveled, and the specific configuration of the operation.
