Antwerp seeks leisure providers for youth with disabilities

The city of Antwerp has launched a call for organizations to provide leisure activities specifically tailored for teenagers and young people with disabilities. The initiative aims to ensure that all youth in the city, regardless of physical, mental, or neurodiverse challenges, have access to inclusive and accessible leisure opportunities.

Antwerp is home to over 90,000 teenagers and young people, with an estimated at least 2,400 living with a disability. The city is encouraging organizations to propose inclusive programs that are open to all youth, or specialized programs that actively work to connect youth with disabilities to the broader city offerings. Proposals can target age groups from 12 to 15 and 16 to 26, with optional provisions for children aged 6 to 11. Organizations have until October 11 to submit their proposals.
