Anugerah Industri Muzik 25 celebrates Mawat and Mimi Fly

The 25th Anugerah Industri Muzik (AIM 25) recently concluded at the Borneo Convention Centre Kuching in Sarawak, celebrating significant achievements for local artists.

Mawat, also known as Gibrael Mawat Clement Saran, won the Best Borneo Song award for ‘Dayang Bintang’. The singer noted that the track was recorded in approximately two hours as a spontaneous attempt, and he did not initially expect such high recognition for the Iban-language song.

Singer Mimi Fly secured five wins during the ceremony. Reflecting on her 18-year career, she expressed gratitude for the recognition following a four-year hiatus from the industry. Mimi Fly, who now operates as an independent artist, described the awards as a meaningful validation of her continued passion for music.
