ANUIES-TIC 2026 Conference and Lomatón Hackathon Open Registrations in Mexico and Argentina

The Asociación Nacional de Universidades e Instituciones de Educación Superior (ANUIES) has opened registration for the ANUIES‑TIC 2026 conference, which will be held from 12 to 16 August at the Universidad Autónoma de Baja California Sur (UABCS) in La Paz, Mexico. The five‑day forum will feature keynote talks, panels, workshops and a technology expo, targeting more than 3,000 participants from over 150 higher‑education institutions and technology firms.

Separately, the Fundación Loma Negra and the Universidad Nacional del Centro de la Provincia de Buenos Aires (UNICEN) are accepting individual registrations for the Lomatón hackathon in Olavarría, Argentina. The free 48‑hour event, running in 2026, invites university students, teachers and researchers from local technical institutes to develop innovative solutions on sustainability, management technologies and process improvement. The deadline for sign‑ups is 9 August, after which selected proposals will be prototyped with technical support from Loma Negra executives and external experts.
