Anupam Kher to Direct Saaransh 2 and Portray Ashok Singhal in Shri Ram Bhoomi

Veteran actor Anupam Kher announced that he will make his directorial debut with a sequel to the 1984 film Saaransh. The project, titled Saaransh 2, is slated to go on floors next year and will feature a script developed by Mahesh Bhatt and his writing team.

Kher also confirmed on Instagram that he will play the role of Hindu leader Ashok Singhal in the upcoming biopic Shri Ram Bhoomi. The film, being shot in Ayodhya, depicts Singhal’s involvement in the Ram Janmabhoomi movement. Kher described the role as a responsibility to portray the historical figure with honesty and sensitivity.
