Anupama Parameswaran reveals two years of narcissistic abuse

South Indian actress Anupama Parameswaran has revealed that she endured two years of narcissistic abuse during a past relationship. Speaking in an interview on the show ‘I AM with Dhanya Varma’, she described the experience as a period of physical and emotional destruction that caused her to feel as though she was ‘starting to shrink’.

Parameswaran explained that the abuse often began with intense ‘love bombing’—a cycle of extreme affection that eventually transitioned into control and emotional manipulation. She noted that the partner sought to control various aspects of her life, including her clothing and professional commitments. The actress stated that she waited until she had reached a significant stage in her healing process before addressing the matter publicly, clarifying that her recent social media posts regarding peace and healing were rooted in this difficult experience.

Her revelations have contributed to a broader conversation regarding narcissistic abuse, following similar discussions by actress Madonna Sebastian. Parameswaran noted that the subject resonated with her so deeply that it caused a physical reaction, including shivering, when she first encountered others discussing the topic.
